He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his grandchildren, Jamie (Brandie), Ainsley, Adalyn, Anderson, Ben (Jenn), Ayla and Rowan; his sister Melanie Shields (Chris); his sibling's children, Rebecca (Alex), Danielle Jamie-Lee (Todd), Brad (Mike), Nicole (Curtis), David (Lane) and Chris (Megan); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Carter, Cameron and Logan; his parent-in-law Willie Hoefnagels; and his sisters-in-law, Marianne (Len) and Carolann (Mike).

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 31st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Van Heck Funeral Home (172 Symes St, Glencoe, ON N0L1M0).

Memorial donations may be made to Southwest Bullets Minor Hockey Association or Four Counties Health Service Foundation.
