She was predeceased by: her son Kevin Essex; her parents, Elmer Lee and Phyllis Lee; her parents-in-law, Richard and June Porter; her sister Ellen Govenlock; and her siblings-in-law, Doug McDonald, Darwin Porter, Beverly Porter, Judy Lee and Renada Porter.
She is survived by: her husband Dwight Porter; her grandchildren, Amanda Holland (Wade), Brendan Essex (Madeleine) and Ryan Essex; her great grandchildren, Avery, Sawyer, Ethan, Elliot and Eliza; her siblings, Beverley McDonald, Larry, Laurie Lee, Don and Betty Lee; and her pet Buddy. She is also survived by nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
