As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Peter may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his brother Bill Bettger (Eva); and his parents, Harold Bettger and Jean Bettger. He is survived by: his daughters, Barb Martin (Bernie) and Heather Bettger (Dan Smith); his grandchildren, Jack, Reef and Benji Smith; and his sisters, Mary Ellen Bird (Wayne) and Margo Bettger-Hahn (Bob). He is also survived by the mother of his children as well as many nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 7th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Park House (168 West St, Goderich, ON N7A2K9).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Goderich Lions Club or the Huron County Humane Society may be made in Pete's memory.
