He was predeceased by: his parents, Ann Strickland (Crate) and Henry Strickland; his brother Bob; and his siblings-in-law, Roberta Strickland, Shirley Ann Kolb, Ross Hardie, Earl Blanchard, George Pozderka and Norm Kolb.

He is survived by: his wife Johnine (Rosar); his children, Ann-Marie (Matthew Becke), Kelly (Bill Leddy), Jeff (Nano Needles) and John (Liz Scott); his grandchildren, Tyler (Eustacia), Nicole (Steven), Samantha (Brett), Peter (Maneesha), Madeleine (Sidney), Amanda (Kyle), David and Blake (Abby); his great grandchildren, Jackson, Matilda, Eloise, Sophia, Cecelia, Benjamin, Dawson and Charlotte; his siblings, Bernice Blanchard, Fred, Frank, Ross and Leonard; and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Hardie and Beverley Pozderka. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Maitland Golf and Country Club (25 North Harbour Rd E, Goderich, ON N7A1W7).

In lieu of flowers, donations in Peter's memory can be directed to the Menesetung Bridge Foundation, a place and cause that was close to his heart.
