She was predeceased by : her husband Stewart Hymers; her parents, Norman Townsend and Viola Townsend; her brother Herb Townsend; and her brother-in-law Jack Fischer.

She is survived by : her grandchildren, Greg (Nicole), Laura (Derek), Abby (Dennis), Cody (Amanda), Kayla (Matt), Shayne (Sheila) and Andrew (Dani); her siblings, Norma Fischer, Allan Townsend (Mildred), Murray Townsend and Doug Townsend (Ann); and her sister-in-law Mary Ellen Townsend.
