He was predeceased by: his siblings, Howard (Mary Johnson), Bill (Lillian Johnson), Betty (Charlie Roulston), Gertrude (Ralph Murray), Mary (Alan Wright), Bob (Maxine Johnson), George Johnson, Pauline McDougall, Ray (Marie Johnson) and Ruth Ann (Ken Bice); his parents, Orville Johnson and Edna Johnson (Fleming); and his parents-in-law, Harold, Eleanor Emerick and Stewart Cunningham.

He is survived by: his wife Elaine Johnson (Emerick); his children, Harold, Holly Johnson and Tammy Johnson; his grandchildren, Cullen (Ryan), Ian, Seamus, Liam of Parker, J. J. (Kristen) and Shawn (Nicole); and his siblings-in-law, June Johnson and George Kennedy.
