He was predeceased by: his parents, Hurley Shaw and Marion Shaw; and his siblings, Glenn (Bernice Shaw), Bob Bell, John (Marjorie Shaw), Dianne (Jerry Chapman) and Eugene "Sib" (Laura Shaw).

He is survived by: his wife Iola Shaw (Vincent); his children, Jerry Shaw and Danny Shaw; his grandchildren, Jamie and Cole; his great grandchild Logan; and his siblings, Kenlynn Bell, Aleda Cluff and Beryl Vincent. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
