He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Katharine Patterson; his children, Shawn Patterson and Leanne McCann (Stewart); his grandchildren, Ryan McCann (Qian) and Nathan McCann; his great grandchild Elijah McCann; his parents, Oscar Patterson and Ada Patterson; and his siblings, Doug and Katharine.
