We bid farewell to Katherine Jean Sloan (Gravenhurst, Ontario), born in Windsor, Ontario, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 24, 2025 at the age of 88. Katherine touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wigle and Jean Wigle; her son Malcolm "Mackie" Sloan; her siblings, Dorothy Pellow and John Wigle; and her nephew Garreth Wigle (Don McDougall).
She is survived by: her children, Mary Craig (Logan) and Murray Sloan (Myra); her grandsons, Logan Sloan and Tyler Sloan; and her siblings, Mary Harvey (Roy), Don Wigle (Beth), Jim Wigle (Janine), Bob Wigle (Cara) and Bill Wigle (Bonnie). She is also survived by nieces/nephews, grandnieces/nephews and great grandnieces/nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to Amnesty International, who she wrote many letters for, Fort Qu'Appelle Echo Lodge Auxiliary or a charity close to your heart in Katherine's memory.
