We announce the death of Michael George Engel (Gravenhurst, Ontario), who passed away on August 2, 2026, at the age of 71. He is survived by: his nephew Jason; his close friend Cory G. Mike; his friends, Brad, Jim, Rick, Stewart and Tyler; his wife Julie; his children, Adam and Tara; his daughter-in-law Amanda; his mother-in-law Mona; his sister-in-law Hayley; his nieces and nephews, Mitch and Kyle; his brother Rich; his sister-in-law Karen; his nieces, Pamela and Jennifer; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jason and Chris; his extended family Julie; Karen and Doug. He is also survived by partners and children; his late sister.

The Engels learned of the COVID-19 pandemic while in Aruba, sitting on Eagle Beach.
