He was predeceased by : his sibling-in-law Jean Hockin (late John). He is survived by : his spouse Nora; his children, Gordon (Anne), Leslie Bennett, Elizabeth Saunders (David) and Robert (Bev); his grandchildren, Chris Prouse (Julia), Heather Prouse, Kate Sweeney (Alan), Will Bennett (Ruby), Nora-Beth Saunders (Joey Mercier) and Hilary Prouse; his great grandchildren, Una Sweeney and Oisin Sweeney; and his sibling-in-law Frances Pritchard. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation or to Central United Church would be greatly appreciated in lieu of flowers.
