He was predeceased by: his father Ron; and his mother-in-law Marie Bolton. He is survived by: his wife Jan; his mother Margaret; his children, Sam and Jessica (Kyle); his grandchildren, Reid and Danielle; his brother Derek (Laura); his father-in-law Art Bolton; his brother-in-law Carl Bolton (Val); and his nephews, Matt, Grant and David Bolton.
