She was predeceased by: her husband Donald McAlpine; her son Douglas McAlpine; her grandchild Ryan; her parents, Norm Townsend and Dorothy Townsend; her niece Tammy Townsend; and her siblings-in-law, Elenor Williams, Robert, Grace McAlpine, Murray McAlpine Arnold Irvine and Glen Austin.
She is survived by: her son Michael (Loriann); her granddaughter Jacqueline; her great grandchildren, Elena, Lucas and Emilia; and her pet Skye.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Hart Chapel (1099 Gordon St, Guelph, ON N1G4X9). A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Hospice Wellington or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
