With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James Matthews (Guelph, Ontario), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. James left this world on July 24, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Pat; his children, Dianne (John), Wendy (Steve), Gary (Sheryl) and Kevin (Laura); his grandchildren, Jordan, Juliana, Kyra, Maya, Travis, Miranda, Ronnie, Matt, Chelsea, Christina, Ryan, Andrea, Christopher, Rachel, Daniel, Kristen, Ashley, Mark and Delia; and his great grandchildren, Logan, Gwen, Holden, Cole, Jaxon, Livia and Ansley.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home (1099 Gordon St, Guelph, ON N1G4X9). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Lung Association or The Last Post Fund Canada are greatly appreciated.
