He is survived by: his son Jerry Avila; his grandchildren, Cindy Seke, Tony Avila and Lorenzo Avila; and his siblings, Luisa Avila Rodrigues, Otilia Alamo, Fernanda Jorge, Geraldine Cunha, Helena Avila, Noelia Avila and Adelino Machado. He is also survived by his many friends and his 72 nieces and nephews, his many brothers in-law and sisters in-law.
