Mom was a quiet, hard-working woman who always spoke well of others. She was a devout Catholic and attended Church of Our Lady for many years and later St. Joseph's Church, where she was an active member of the C.W.L.
Vic and Mary enjoyed many summers at their cottage in Sauble Beach. When Mary wasn't playing scrabble, cribbage or euchre, she enjoyed the simple solitude of sitting on the patio just watching the world go by. She enjoyed watching many sports and it was no secret she was a Boston Bruins fan. Her butter tarts were always in high demand at the Dietrich family picnic.
The family would like to thank the hard working, caring PSWs who helped Mom over the last 5 years, allowing her to stay in her home. "Mama Mary" as she was affectionately known, was tenderly cared for by Martina, Rem, Maria, Halima, Gloria, Susan, Alem, Merle, Mildarose and many others. Also, thanks to the Bayshore palliative care team.
Although Mary lost some of her physical abilities, she never lost her ability to bring smiles, joy and happiness to all around her. She will be profoundly missed.
Thank you, Mom, for everything.
