He was predeceased by: his wife Elsa Valeri (Tessaro); and his son Peter (Gwen). He is survived by: his children, Matthew (Theresa Harper) of Dundas, Elisabeth (Neil Heebner) of Guelph and Sandra Valeriote of Kitchener; his grandchildren, Andrea, Nicholas Valeriote (Sarah Currie), Jonathan (Kelsey Stemmler), Bill Valeriote (Malaika), Anthony, Mark Heebner, Christopher and Valerie Wissmach (Jordan Horan); his great grandchildren, Robert, Thomas and Duke; his son Norman; and his sister Anna Bordignon of Kitchener. He is also survived by his 15 siblings.

As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to The Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington or The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital.
