He was predeceased by: his sisters, Maryann Lawler and Peggy Lawler Sinclair; his father Daniel (Aileen Lawler); and his parents-in-law, Hendrik and Klaasje Brouwer.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Lawler; his children, Jason Lawler (Jo-Anne) and Kris Lawler (Emily); his grandchildren, Hanna, Emily and Trent; his stepgrandchildren, Norah and Hannah; his child Murphy; his siblings, Bernie Lawler (late Kathy), Chuck Lawler (Linda) and Colleen DeBoer (late Brian); his siblings-in-law, Anne Lopers (Jake), Sid Brouwer (Bonnie) and Larry Brouwer (late Anne); and his nieces and nephews, Brett, Sean, Dan, Bill, Derek, Rebekah, Martha, Laura, Barb, Pat, Angela, Cindy, Henry, Michelle, Mike, Tim, Calvin, Shawn and Troy. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, extended family.
