He is survived by: his sons, Chris (Anita) and Scott; his grandchildren, Paxton, Zoe and Angus; his siblings, Bob, Wayne and Helen MacAlpine; his brother-in-law William Hall; his niece Krystal (Andrew); his nephew David (Richelle); his great-niece Aurora; his great-nephew Clark; his friend Kathleen MacKenzie; Roy.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
