He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Smith and Doreen Smith; and his brother Wally. He is survived by: his son Jason (Stephanie MacIntyre); his grandchildren, Jake, Aviva and Jax; his son Trevor (Becky); his siblings, Susan MacCulloch (late Ken), Cathy Connelly (late Bob), Eric (Tracy) and Elizabeth Gallagher (Jon); his sister-in-law Pat; his caregivers, Ailis, Katherine, Ben, Nicole, Dr. Schmidt and Dr. Ganapathy; and also, Mark Bourdeau, Bobby Bourdeau (Mary), Michele Fox (Dave) and Sherri Chattington (late Chris). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel (1099 Gordon St, Guelph, ON N1G4X9).
