He was predeceased by: his father John Dickinson; his brother Pat Dickinson; and his grandson Robbie Loach. He is survived by: his children, John Dickinson, Rob Dickinson, Tricia Dickinson, Debbie Loach and Dawna Van Loon; and his brother Dan (Sharon Dickinson). He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren.
