He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Mathers and Doris Mathers (Valley); his son Robert; and his siblings, Richard Mathers, James Mathers (Hazel), Chris Mathers and Cindy Cavanagh.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Mathers (Manton); his daughters, Nancy, Cathy (Justin White), Cindy (Justin Mallais), Pam and Tammy (Chris McLeod); his siblings, Tim Mathers (Shelley), Donny Mathers and Sandra Deevey; and his siblings-in-law, Rachel Mathers, Linda Mathers, Paul Cavanagh and Frank Manton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; 13 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
