Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Alva Louise Charter (Hamilton, Ontario), who passed away at the age of 97, on July 17, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eva Greenslade and William Greenslade; and her brothers, Bruce and Jim. She is survived by: her daughter Nancy; her son-in-law George; her sons, Jim (Sue) and Don; her daughter-in-law Janet; her grandchildren, Mason, Mackenzie, Rob, Kate, Samantha and Danielle; her sisters, Anna Greenslade and Lois Greenslade; and her husband Robert Charter (Bob) of Renton, Ontario.. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dodsworth and Brown Funeral Home (378 Wilson Street E., Ancaster, ON L9G2C2). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jerseyville United Church (7 Field Rd, Jerseyville, ON L0R1R0).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Wesley Centre or a charity of your choice in Alva's memory.
