It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Anna (Choban) Kit (Hamilton, Ontario), who passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Andrey; and her siblings, Dmytro, Elizabeth, Anastazia and Maria.
She is survived by: her sons, Peter (Natalie) and Walter (Karyl); and her sister Jennie. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home (1774 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K1V7). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral (855 Barton St E, Hamilton, ON L8L6X5). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at the St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Cemetery St Volodymyr's Cemetery (1280 Dundas St W, Oakville, ON L6M4H9).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral.
