Antero Pereira Obituary
We announce the death of Antero Pereira (Hamilton, Ontario), who passed away on September 15, 2026, at the age of 73. Antero will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Maria Pereira of Jesus Sa Couto and Ernesto Couto Pereira; and his brother Emmanuel Pereira. He is survived by: his wife Odete; his children, Suzy (Jack), Steve (Michelle) and Noel; his brother Ernesto Pereira; and his brother-in-law Conceicao (Norberto Galego). He is also survived by his devoted partner and the love of his life.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Friscolanti Funeral Chapel (43 Barton St E, Hamilton, ON L8L2V7). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (170 Park St N, Hamilton, ON L8R2N3). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (642-658 Old York Rd, Burlington, ON L7P4Y6).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Antero's memory to Emmanuel House Hospice, whose compassionate care and support brought comfort to Antero and his family during his final days.
