Antonio Mercanti Obituary

We announce the death of Antonio Mercanti of Hamilton, Ontario, who passed away on August 3, 2026, at the age of 88. Antonio will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Florence Mercanti; his parents, Eusanio Mercanti and Santina Mercanti; and his siblings, Giuseppe (late Iolanda), Raffaele (late Maria), Alfredo (late Nella), Guerino (late Maria), Nardino (Liliana), Gabriel (Josephine) and Costanza (late Vincenzo).

He is survived by: his daughter Anna McDonald (Doug); his grandchildren, Brad and Cassandra McDonald; and his sisters, Iolanda Di Luca (late Vince) and Maria Ricci (late Carlo). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
