She is survived by: her husband Frank; her children, Michael (Heather), Susan (Michael Partington) and Paul (Lorraine); her grandson Brock Partington; and her sister Maxine Monaco (Bruno). She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.

Barbara found joy and fulfillment in her work as a librarian with the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, later continuing her passion for helping others with the Hamilton Health Sciences Charitable Foundation.
