We bid farewell to Berend Bouwman (Hamilton, Ontario), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 18, 2025 at the age of 68. Berend touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Diana; his grandchildren, Matt, Sarah Bartels, Jesse, Andrea, Tyson, Callen, Ethan, Abel, Clayton, Jase, Lucy, Chloe, Rob, Candace Jagt, Stephen, Carissa Johnstone, Trevor, Amber Vandervelde, Cody, Katie (Ellie), Mitch and Rose; his parents, Jake Bouwman and Trudy Bouwman; his parents-in-law, Abe and Henny Hartman; and his in-laws, Connie, Ted Knegt, Tom, Kim Bouwman, Carolyn Bouwman, Catherine, Bryan Stieva, Jason, Debra Bouwman, Dave, Lynda Hartman, Bernice, Henry Oostdyk, Janice, Andy Meints, Deb, Wayne Binkley, Wendy Nicholson and Bruce Hartman.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Redemption Canadian Reformed Church (823 Safari Rd, Hamilton, ON L8B1S4). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Garden Lane Cemetery (181 7th Concession Rd, Hamilton, ON L0R1V0). A reception was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Redemption Canadian Reformed Church (823 Safari Rd, Hamilton, ON L8B1S4).
In lieu of flowers, donations to Shalom Manor or the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
