He was predeceased by: his parents, Francesca Fontana and Giuseppe Fontana. He is survived by: his wife Marian Fontana; his children, Laura Caruso (Johnny) and Joseph (Christina); his grandchildren, Roman, Nico, Leo and Vienna; his sister Lina Ippolito (late Peter); his siblings-in-law, Paul Andrego (Yvonne), Anita Taylor (Ron), Peter Andrego (Sandra) and Michael Andrego (Mary Ellen); and his friend Carlo. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Friscolanti Funeral Chapel (43 Barton St E, Hamilton, ON L8L2V7). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church (165 Prospect St N, Hamilton, ON L8L 6X7).
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church would be appreciated.
