Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Caterina leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Maurizio; and her children, Carmella McBride, Luciano Capano, Marcella Direkze (George), Michael Capano, Frank Capano (Joanne), Pina Naccarato (Joe), Maria McBride (Brent) and Antonella Lafleur (Ray). She was also cherished by her 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home (1774 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K 1V7). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
