He was predeceased by: his son Charles Laing. He is survived by: his pet Ferbie; his daughter Natalie Calzonetti; his son-in-law Michael Calzonetti; and his grandchildren, Victoria Jankus, Zachary Jankus, Lauren Wright, Rebecca Wright, Matt Wright, Sarah Heitshu and Joshua Calzonetti.
