Dane Pocrnic Obituary

The memory of Dane Pocrnic (Hamilton, Ontario), who passed away on October 14, 2025 at the age of 92, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ana (Rukavina); his children, Julijana (Edward), Steve and Nick (Amy); his grandchildren, David, Neven, Mia and Adam; his sister Kate (late Tomo Orešković); his siblings-in-law, Mande Pocrnic (late Luka), Marica Rukavina (late Ivan), Josip Rukavina (Kate) of British Columbia, Milan (Mića) and Pocrnić (late Anka) of Zagreb; and his caregiver Jason. He was also cherished by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home (1774 King St E, Hamilton, ON L8K1V7). A rosary will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Luke's Roman Catholic Parish (200 Mt Albion Rd, Hamilton, ON L8K5S9). A burial will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at the Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Cemetery (681 Mud St E, Hamilton, ON L8J3B8).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dane's memory to Holy Cross Croatian Parish (Hamilton), Crkva Svetog Križa (Perušić, Croatia), or a charity of your own choice.
