He was predeceased by: his sisters, Catherine, Joan and Beth. He is survived by: his spouse Beverley of Valentine's Day; his children, Doug Hoover and Patti Cook (Don); his grandchildren, Harold Hoover, Danielle Nadeau (Brad) and Shane Cook; and his siblings, Jim (Maggie), Wendy and Penny. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cresmount Funeral Home (322 Fennell Ave E, Hamilton, ON L9A1T2). A memorial service was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. John United Church (195 E 38th St, Hamilton, ON L8V4G1).
