He was predeceased by: his wife Teresa; his child Romolo Furii; his grandson Antonio Trimboli; his parents, Francesco Antonio Assunto Portolesi and Maria Antonietta Strangio; his siblings, Rossario (Giuseppina Portolesi), Andrea (Maria Portolesi), Rosa (Domenico Sergi), Maria (Giuseppe Di Marco) and Saverio (Giuseppina Portolesi); his father-in-law Domenico Antonio Trimboli; and his brothers-in-law, Rocco Portolesi, Bruno Fabiano, Antonio and Domenico Trimboli.

He is survived by: his children, Mary, Domenico Trimboli and Paula; his grandchildren, Giuseppina "Josie", Gino Caruso, Michael Furii, Yvonne Hunter, Andrew, Giulia Furii, Teresa, Giancarlo Ferko, Domenic and Darcy Trimboli; his great grandchildren, Olivia, Marisa, Luca Caruso, Samantha, Adriano Furii, Adamo and Alessio Ferko; his sibling Rachela; and his siblings-in-law, Salvatore Trimboli, Maria, Sarafina, Concetta Trimboli, Francesco and Giuseppe Trimboli. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
