He was predeceased by : his parents, Buster and Margaret; and his siblings, Richard (Fern), Myles, Patrick and June Stockbauer.

He is survived by : his wife Audrey (Leslie); his children, Dawn Side (Tyler) and Jason (Tricia); his siblings, Ann Salter (Brian), Ronald (Carol), Gerry (Lynne), Peter (Line) and Lyndon; his siblings-in-law, Audrey, Marilyn, William (Susan) and Mark Leslie (Nancy); and his grandchildren, Cassandra Side, Jayden and Wyatt Donnelly.
