He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan Poyner and Mary Poyner (Twiss) of Dundas; and his sister Carole. He is survived by: his wife Karen (Bastedo); his children, Jonathan Poyner and Heather (Spencer); his son-in-law Steven Spencer; his grandchildren, Matthew (Julia), Jessica Begin, Amber (Cameron), Derek and Shawn Spencer; his friends, Bobby, Audrey and Eric Aitken; and his caregiver Jennifer. He is also survived by his cousins, neighbours and many friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St Paul's Anglican Church (1140 King St W, Hamilton, ON L8S1M1).
