He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Elbertus "Bert" J. Van Beek; his wife Diane (DeRuiter); his children, Yvonne, Annette (Mike), Bert Jr. (Teresa) and AJ (Yuko); and his grandchildren, Douglas, Sydney, Dean, Adam, Robert and Hikaru. He was also cherished by wife, children, grandchildren, extended family, friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home (90 Garner Rd E, Ancaster, ON L9G3K9). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 11:15 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens (700 Chapel Hill Rd, Stoney Creek, ON L8J0B5).
