Elisabeth touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Gilberto Rolando; her parents, Maria Bookjans (Lüpken) and Johann Bookjans; her siblings, Wenzel, Wilhelm Bookjans and Adele Lolies; her mother-in-law Concetta Di Gregorio; and her sibling-in-law Pierina Di Gregorio.

She is survived by: her children, Maria, Roland and Connie; her grandchildren, Sonja, Cosmo, Madeleine, Mason, Andrew, Elisabeth, Maya and Marcus; her siblings, John Bookjans and Maria Mag; her brother-in-law Theo Mag; her sister Agnes Metz; her parent-in-law Raimondo; and her siblings-in-law, Nestore, Isabelle, Victor Acciaroli, Vincent and Nancy Di Gregorio. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home (90 Garner Rd E, Hamilton, ON L9G3K9). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Ann's Parish (11 Wilson St W, Ancaster, ON L9G1N1). An entombment was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery (254 Garner Rd W, Ancaster, ON L9G3K9).
