She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna Schlutt and Johann Schlutt; and her sister Anni. She is survived by: her husband Adam Maerz; her children, Norbert Maerz (Vicky), Ruth Horst (Ron) and Dorothea Blandford (Ted); her grandchildren, Thomas, Cassandra (Abhinav), Stefan, Caralynn (Eder), Nathan, Jonathan, Michael, Claudia, Stephanie and Paul; her great grandchildren, Ayrton Portillo, Alessandra Portillo and Aaliyah Portillo; and her sisters, Maria Meiritz and Erika Knebel.
