Francesco Rizzo Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Francesco Rizzo (Hamilton, Ontario), who passed away on September 14, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Calogero Rizzo and Carmelina Rizzo; and his sisters-in-law, Carmela Milazzo (late Nicolo) and Angela Di Francesco (late Luciano). He is survived by: his wife Gaetana; his grandchildren, Maria, Silvio, Patrick and Raymond; his siblings, Nicolo Rizzo (late Giovanna), Stefanina Rizzo, Maria I Rizzo, Margherita Milazzo (late Carmelo), Maria II Petruzzella (late Salvatore), Benito Rizzo and Matilde Rizzo; and his siblings-in-law, Pasqua Giglia (late Giovanni), Giuseppina Daniele (late Guido), Giuseppe Manto (Angela) and Alfonsa Lauretani (Giancarlo). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Friscolanti Funeral Chapel (43 Barton St E, Hamilton, ON L8L2V7). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of All Souls Parish (21 Barton St W, Hamilton, ON L8L1A2). An entombment was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (600 Spring Gardens Rd, Burlington, ON L7T1J1).
