He was predeceased by: his sisters, Lucia Schiavone and Giuseppina DeSivo (Alessandro); his parents, Michele Schiavone and Angelina Melfi; and his parents-in-law, Vincenzo and Ausilia Corine.
He is survived by: his wife Angelina; his children, Mary D'Orante (Mario), Mike (Susan) and Vince (Lucia); his grandchildren, Angie, Christina, Marco, Francesco and Cassandra; his great grandchild Natalie; his brother Pasquale Melfi (Giuseppina); and his siblings-in-law, Franca Lauretani (late Sergio), Rosetta Fazi (late Palmerino), Giuseppina D'Ostilio (late Piero) and Franco Corine (Luisa). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
