He was predeceased by: his wife Pauline; and his parents, Hazel and William. He is survived by: his children, Alan Cavanaugh (Kathy), Maureen Midgley (Blair) and Theresa LeClair (Cameron); his grandchildren, Michael (Anna), Taryn (Tyler) and Matthew; and his niece Pat.
As per his request, there will be no visitation and donations in his memory can be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
