He was predeceased by: his sister Elise McKnight (Vince); and his granddaughter Elizabeth. He is survived by: his wife Ellen; his children, Anita (John), Paul (Paula), Stephen (Yvonne) and Allison (Steve); and his grandchildren, Katerina (Greg), Matthew (Jessica), Joshua, Megan, Colin, Andrew, Claire and Ryan.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Hamilton - Bay Gardens Funeral Home (947 Rymal Rd E, Hamilton, ON L8W3M2). A reception was held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
