Gaetana Maria (Filice) Leone Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gaetana Maria (Filice) Leone (Hamilton, Ontario), who passed away on June 24, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Eugenio; her siblings, Ada Filice, Raffaele Filice, Giuseppe Leone (Emilia), Antonio Leone (Maria), Anna Spadafora (Ignazio), Concetta Spadafora (Raffaele) and Emilio Leone (Gina); and her parents, Clementina Filice (Berlingieri) and Antonio Filice.
She is survived by: her children, John (Bianca), Aldo Peter, Antoinetta and Angela Curto (Joe); her grandchildren, Lisa Carbone (Brandon), Tara Crugnale (Romeo), Gino (Linda), Michael Kiczula (Crystal), Christopher Kiczula, Nicolette, Dominique, Giuliana Curto, Marina Mavhiri (Vinny), Sophia Curto, Julian, Dante, Tiana, Serena, Pierce, Mia, Vienna, Demi, Harlem and Noel; and her siblings, Michele Filice (Anna), Maria Filice (late Pietro), Francesco Filice (late Flora), Dora Mule (late Sam) and Margarita Di Pietro (Alberto). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Friscolanti Funeral Chapel (43 Barton St E, Hamilton, ON L8L2V7). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Catherine of Siena (620 Rymal Rd E, Hamilton, ON L8W1B3).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society or St. Joseph's Villa would be appreciated by the family.
