It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Genevieve Katherine (Ochtabienski) Kras (Hamilton, Ontario), who passed away on October 5, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Matthew Kras; her daughters, Cathy and Christine; her grandson Matthew Ryan (Jill); her great grandchild Stella; and her sibling Kasimir Ochtabienski (Gladys).
She is survived by: her children, Ted (late Sharon), Chet (Debi), Jerry (Tracey), Rick (Sandra) and Matt (Sue); her grandchildren, Nancy (Tony), Andrew (Shehnila), Kathleen, Teresa (Ben), Jessica (Michelle), Daniel, Michael and Megan; her great grandchildren, Ella, Avery, Abby, Lily, Evie, Westley, Zachary, Hannah, Adeline, Blake and Beau; and her brother Stan Ochtabienski (Bernadette). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Turner Family Funeral Home (53 Main St, Dundas, ON L9H2P7). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Augustine's Parish (58 Sydenham St, Dundas, ON L9H2T9). An entombment will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (600 Spring Gardens Rd, Burlington, ON L7T1S9).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
