He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Ivan and Maria Ivan; his siblings, Mike Ivan (Jean Fisher), Joe Ivan (Lisa), Bill Ivan (Ann), Anna Pavlov (John), Mary Ivan (Ralph) and Barbara Ivan; and his son-in-law Dave Hares.
He is survived by: his wife Annie Ivan (Smith); his children, Debbie Ellis (John Hand) of Hamilton, Thomas Ivan (Sharon) of Connecticut, Linda Hares of Hamilton, Jim Ivan (Linda) of Hamilton and Sandy England (Bruce) of Canmore, Alberta.; his grandchildren, Jeff (Gina), Brian (Andy), Nikki (Pedro), Ruth (Josh), Sam, Alex, Alison (Mike), Danielle (James), Chandler and Jessica (Andrew); his brother-in-law Clarence Smith (Dorothy); and his brother John. He is also survived by his 8 great-grandchildren, his nieces and nephews.
At the family's request, they have asked that everyone please wear a mask during the visitation and service at church.
Memorial donations to The Alzheimer Foundation would be appreciated by George's family.
