He was predeceased by: his wife Maria Turi. He is survived by: his children, Mary Fulop (Les) and Tibor Turi (Afsoon); his grandchildren, Leslie, Thomas (Carling), Tobias and Sophia (Liam); his great grandchildren, Ruby and Sammy; and his brother John Turi (Elizabeth).
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Kitching, Steepe & Ludwig Funeral Home (146 Mill St N, Waterdown, ON L0R2H0). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Stephen of Hungary Roman Catholic Church (130 Barton St E, Hamilton, ON L8L2W4). A graveside service was held on Monday, January 26th 2026 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the St. Thomas Cemetery. A reception was held on Monday, January 26th 2026 from 12:45 PM to 3:00 PM at the Kitching, Steepe & Ludwig Funeral Home (146 Mill St N, Waterdown, ON L0R2H0).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George's memory to the Alzheimer Society.
