Giedra Szpiech Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on May 21, 2026, at the age of 73, Giedra Szpiech (Hamilton, Ontario) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Giedra Szpiech to pay them a last tribute.

As we bid Giedra farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Giedra is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Genovaite Breichmanas and Petras Breichmanas. She is survived by: her husband Henry Szpiech; her grandchildren, Julia and Noah; her brother Gedas P. Breichmanas (Irene); her brother-in-law Ted Szpiech (Jeannette); her nephew Andrew Breichmanas (Frances); and her niece Danielle Simmons (Eric).

In lieu of flowers, donations in Giedra's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
