He was predeceased by: his parents, Guilio Balestra and Francesca Balestra; and his siblings, Giuseppina Longo (Giuseppe), Giovanni Balestra, Paulina Vespa, Luciana DeFelice (Pasquale) and Violante Spadafora (Frank).
He is survived by: his wife Dorina; his children, Silvana Rochon, Frank Balestra (Maria) and Dina DeGeer; his brother Francesco Balestra (Giovanna); his brother-in-law Graziano Bellini (Loretta); his grandchildren, Michael Rochon (Charnel), Ryan, Leanna and Angelica; and his great grandchild Matteo Rochon. He is also survived by many loving nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke and Diabetes Canada are welcome.
