He was predeceased by: his parents, Orazio Caltagirone and Luigia Caltagirone; his siblings, Diego Caltagirone (late Concettina), Maria Cino (late Calogero) and Vincenzo Caltagirone (late Antonina); his parents-in-law, Salvatore and Alfonsa Pirerra; and his siblings-in-law, Alfonso Pirerra (late Vicenzina), Nicola Pirrera (late Maria), Salvatore Pirrera (late Rosaria), Maria Tona (late Giuseppe), Giovanna Bono, Angelo Pirrera (Rosaria), Antonio Pirerra (Lina) and Calogero Pirrera (late Cettina).
He is survived by: his wife Giuseppa; his children, Orazio Caltagirone, Salvatore Caltagirone (Daniela) and Luigina Potter (Mike); his grandchildren, Gianmarco, Giuliano, Genevive, Noah, Leo and Stella; his sibling Calogero Caltagirone (Lina); and his siblings-in-law, Giovanni and Caterina Pirrera.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Friscolanti Funeral Chapel (43 Barton St E, Hamilton, ON L8L2V7). A prayer was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the All Soul's Church (21 Barton St W, Hamilton, ON L8L1A2).
